ELECTRIC POTENTIAL AND POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE ELECTRIC POTENTIAL OR POTENTIAL:- In the Electric field , the electric potential is expressed as the work done in moving a unit positive charge (+ve) from infinity to that particular point. This is illustrated with a simple example. Here , water do not flow in horizontal tube. So one end of tube of filled water tank or high level water tank is connected to the empty tank or low level water tank , so that there will be pressure difference between the two ends of the tube . so the water flows from higher level water tank to end of the tube of low level water tank. Similarly , in case of flows of charge in copper wire. In conducting metallic wire , there is a difference of electric pressure which is also called potential difference.
